Volos Half Marathon 2026: 10th Anniversary Along the Pagasetic Gulf
The 10th Volos Half Marathon is set for Sunday, March 29, 2026, celebrating a decade of coastal running along the beautiful Pagasetic Gulf. Organized by the Volos Health Runners Club and the Municipality of Volos, this race has grown into one of the most popular half marathons in central Greece.
The Course
The 21.1km course starts from the Volos waterfront and follows the coastline of the Pagasetic Gulf. With Mount Pelion rising dramatically in the background and continuous sea views, the scenery alone makes this race worth running. The route is completely flat with no significant elevation changes β ideal for personal bests.
Race Categories
Beyond the half marathon, the event includes a 5K City Race, a 2K Family Run, and a 500m Kids Run. Registration is very affordable: Early Bird pricing (until February 14) is just 15 euros for the half marathon and 10 euros for the 5K.
Why Run Volos?
Volos sits at the foot of Mount Pelion β the mythological home of the Centaurs. After the race, explore the charming waterfront, enjoy fresh seafood at one of the many tavernas, or take a trip up Pelion's winding mountain roads to the traditional stone villages. The combination of a fast, scenic race and an incredible destination makes Volos a must-do for any runner visiting Greece.
Registration is open now. Check the Volos Half Marathon page on MyRaceRadar for details and to add it to your race calendar.
